Guest Information GRAHAMFEST GUEST INFO Don’t Miss….. • The Bluegrass Museum Bus tours 2-10 p.m. You cannot miss this 1950s era bus at our entrance area! • Special guest Bill Anderson will be available to repair your Martin guitar! Look for his tent near the General Store! • Celebrated local writer Joe Tennis will be selling his autographed books! Look for his tent beside the General Store! • The Mount Rogers Community Services Board display tent beside our festival office! • Mail a GrahamFest postcard from our very own post office tent! Parking: A $2 donation is required from ALL cars parked at the festival grounds. 100% of this donation is directed to the Lead Mines Rescue Squad and Max Meadows Fire Department. Persons with HANDICAPPED TAGS may arrive and park on festival grounds at our paved walkway from 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m. Guests with handicapped parking tags MUST have their tickets prior to arrival. No tickets will be sold at this gate; armbands will be given, tickets punched, and programs given at this gate. After 2:30 p.m., handicapped guests may be dropped off at the paved festival entrance and the driver may park in regular parking lot only. Our grounds offer a paved entrance and a paved walkway for guests with limited mobility; we do not offer special transportation or assistance for the handicapped nor are our grounds considered handicapped accessible. PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY. General admission parking gates open at 1:30 p.m. Gates close at 11 p.m. • Music begins and festival gates will open at 2 p.m. Gates close at 10:30 p.m. • GrahamFest guests including campers are not permitted to leave and re-enter the grounds after arrival. • NO unauthorized vehicles allowed on festival grounds. Tickets: All admission tickets are sold at the Log Cabin Ticket Building located at the entrance to the parking lot. All festival guests are required to have a daily or 2-day admission ticket and wear the corresponding armband. Armband must be visible to in order to pass through the festival gates located across Major Graham’s Road. Ghost Walk Tour tickets are an additional $10. Please retain your ticket in case your armband is broken or lost. NO REFUNDS FOR UNUSED OR LOST TICKETS. Security and Traffic: Wythe County Sherriff Doug King and a dozen off duty deputies will provide onsite security and traffic support. All GrahamFest grounds are monitored by off duty deputies at night and when the festival is closed. Virginia State Patrolmen will be located at key Interstates to provide traffic support. Festival directional signs will be placed on state roads to assist our guests. Off duty deputies and VDOT will coordinate additional road signage and one-way traffic in and out of the festival during high traffic periods. Every effort will be made to ensure the safety and timely arrival/departure of GrahamFest guests. Fire and Rescue Services: The Max Meadows Fire Department will provide onsite fire protection services. The Lead Mines Rescue Squad will provide onsite medical and rescue services. Both organizations will provide the manpower to park our festival guests. A $2 donation is required from each car upon arrival. Festival Merchandise Sales: The GENERAL STORE and MANSION STORE hours are 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Artist and GrahamFest merchandise are available for sale at these locations as well as limited personal items and local crafts. VISA and MASTERCARD debit and credit cards are accepted. Limited artist and festival merchandise will be available for cash sales immediately after each performance at the MERCHANDISE TENT beside the artist’s stage. Artists may be available for autographs and pictures at their MERCHANDISE TENT. Credit card merchandise sales may be made at the General Store. Mansion Ghost Walk Tours: Hours: 2:00 p.m.– 8:00 p.m. Our last tour is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Ghost Walk Tour guests should plan for some wait-time as tours are scheduled every 15 minutes. Tour guests may not re-enter the Mansion once they have exited into the Mansion Store. Children 11 years of age and under & persons with health problems and/or limited mobility will not be permitted to enter the Mansion due to building access and safety limitations. Please plan accordingly. Kids’ Zone Playground: Hours: 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. A parent or guardian is asked to remain with their children while they enjoy our playground activities and stage. While we do provide playground supervision, we are not considered babysitters. • Children or adults displaying inappropriate aggressive or disrespectful behaviors will be asked to leave the playground areas. Playground rules include no hitting, pushing, breaking in line, tampering with playground or sound equipment, unsafe climbing/jumping/running, or unkind actions including inappropriate language. ALL KIDS’ ZONE ACTIVITIES CLOSE AT 8 p.m. Campground: RV and primitive camping is available for the evening of August 31st only. Campers may arrive after 9 a.m. on August 31st; enter through the ticket and parking lot gate. Campers must pack up and leave their campsites before 2 p.m. on September 1st. Campers will be directed to park their vehicles in the festival parking lot to ensure a smooth departure after the event. • Port-o-johns and sinks are available. • No showers or electrical hook ups are available this year. • A Midnight Jam will be offered for campers only. • Campers must sign a HOLD HARMLESS FESTIVAL AGREEMENT, wear their armbands, and follow festival and campground rules. ➢ Campground rules include respectful interactions with other campers, NO weapons, NO drugs, NO pets, NO fires, NO swimming, NO fishing, abide by posted NO Trespassing signs, and NO hunting. ➢ Our campground is supervised by festival staff and an off duty deputy to ensure the safety of our guests. GrahamFest reserves the right to ask guests to leave who are not abiding by these rules. Beer and Wine Garden: GrahamFest will have a beer and wine garden at the Chimney House Stage and the Major Graham’s Stage. The gardens will be fenced with one entrance/exit gate each. An off duty deputy will monitor this gate and no alcohol will be permitted beyond the gated and fenced garden area. All persons entering the gardens must be 21 years or older and present an acceptable ID for a special beer and wine garden admittance and they must wear the special beer and wine garden wristband. Wristband is required for admission and is punched for each drink served. A maximum of 4 drinks per person per day is permitted. GrahamFest reserves the right to refuse its guests alcoholic beverages due to unacceptable behavior. GrahamFest reserves the right to escort these guests off the property due to their behavior. The GrahamFest Beer and Wine Gardens adhere to the ABC laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Food and Craft Vendors: GrahamFest offers the best in food and refreshments from its local vendors. We also welcome local craft vendors and several nonprofit organizations! All vendors are located near the FOOD COURT area between the General Store and the Mansion. GrahamFest LOG CABIN DRINK SHACKS may be found throughout the grounds for cold sodas and water. GrahamFest collectors’ cups and bottomless ice may be purchased at these LOG CABIN DRINK SHACKS and tents. Coolers, drinks, and food may NOT be brought onto the festival grounds.
